Brendon McCullum sealed 1st ODI for New Zealand



New Zealand won first one day international by three wickets, and take the 1-0 lead in a three match ODI series. A fantastic and thrilling finish by New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum chase a 259/7 in 48.5 overs. Brilliant batting performance by Kane Williamson and Brendon McCullum both smashing half tons in the 1st one day international.




After won the toss New Zealand skipper Brendon McCullum elected to field first. England starts slowly when Mitchell McClenaghan bowled out England skipper Alastair Cook in just four runs. A great partnership between Ian Bell and Jonathan Trott both struck a fantastic half century. Ian Bell smashing 64 runs while Jonathan Trott smash 68 runs. Franklin strikes and get the wicket of Ian Bell and then Mills remove Jonathan Trott.

England struggle again lost Eion Morgon on just 1 runs but Joe Root fights back and smash a brilliant half century and gets the score moving, no one played a good inning at the end and England were all out at 258/10 in 49.3 overs. Great bowling by James Franklin and McClenaghan both share seven wickets and restrict England to 258.

After chasing down a decent total New Zealand struggle to get good start from the opener, James Anderson strikes early with new ball bowled BJ Watling in just 2 runs. Kane Williamson played a fantastic inning at Hamilton he smash 74 runs in 99 balls with the help of 6 fours. New Zealand lost momentum when Ian Bell and Woakes run out Williamson at 74 runs. Ross Taylor and Grant Elliot not able to get good runs on the board, Woakes strikes and get both of them. New Zealand skipper leading from front struck a brilliant half century and clinched 1st one day international by three wicket with 7 balls to spare. New Zealand win the 1st one day international and lead the three match series 1-0.
