Ricky Ponting set to lead the Mumbai Indians in upcoming IPL season.


Former Australia skipper Ricky Ponting has been named the captain of Mumbai Indian team in upcoming IPL season 2013. Ricky Ponting played for Kolkata Knight Riders in last year, is set to lead the Mumbai Indian for the upcoming IPL season. Mumbai bought Ricky Ponting at the price of 400, 000 US. The decision was taken between Mumbai Indian coach john Wright Sachin Tendulker and the Chief monitor Anil Kumble.






“Anil Kumble said that the decision was taken himself and Tendulker, Ricky Ponting has a lot of experienced to lead Mumbai Indian, and he said that it was our idea to brings Ricky Ponting as the captain of Mumbai Indian team, he has a good international career and he is one of the best captain in the history of cricket”



Ricky Ponting expressed his feeling, and said: “It’s a huge honor for me and I will thankful to Mr. Ambani and the Mumbai Indian management to give me an opportunity to being a captain of Mumbai Indian, he also thanks of Mumbai Indian team management for the faith and my abilities to being a captain of Mumbai, Ponting said Mumbai Indians is one of the best team in IPL and I look forward to leading the team to play its full potential”
