England beat New Zealand in 2nd one day
international by eight wicket at McLean Napier, great batting performance by
England skipper Alastair Cook and then fantastic partnership of Joe Root and
Jonathan Trott helped England to level the three match series, both smash half
century. James Anderson shows great bowling take five wickets and gives only 34
runs.
England skipper Alastair Cook won the toss and elected to field
first, Anderson strikes early and remove both opener, brilliant batting Performance by Ross Taylor
smash a ton in middle of the inning of second one day international in McLean
Napier, 20 February 2013, he struck 100 runs in 117 balls.
Brendon McCulum continuous great form in the series struck a
fantastic 74 runs in just 36 balls. Skipper leading from front shows some lusty
hitting in the end of the inning. James Anderson take five wickets while Chris Woakes
gets three wickets, New Zealand all out at 269/10 in 48.5 balls.
Chasing a big total England Skipper Alastair Cook showing
brilliant batting performance struck a fantastic 78 runs his partner Ian Bell
also played a good inning of 44 runs. Williamson gets first wicket of Ian Bell
and then Tim Southee strikes and remove England captain at 78 runs.
The partnership between Joe Root and Trott is brilliant both
contributing 121 runs in 15.2 overs and both struck a half century. Joe Root
shows some lusty hitting in the end and England gets the target 270/2 in 47.4
overs. The wins in second one day international give England a chance to level
the three match series. The third ODI between both sides will play on 23 February
2013 in Auckland.
